Bulgaria’s anti-corruption crusader Prime Minister Kiril Petkov has been dealt a blow, after a no-confidence vote on Wednesday toppled Bulgaria’s government, potentially resulting in a fourth general election for the country since April 2021.

Petkov, who previously pledged to tackle corruption in Bulgaria, was faced with a no-confidence vote by opposition lawmakers, after the ruling coalition lost its majority over disputes on budgets.
