A leading MEP has called for a complete embargo on imports of Russian coal, oil and gas into the bloc.
Frances Fitzgerald MEP said that it was “crucial” for Europe to take action to reduce its dependence on Russian energy, adding that the funds used to buy Russian energy was funding the war in Ukraine.
