EU to impose further sanctions on Russia as European Commission President warns ‘perpetrators of war crimes will be held accountable’

The EU is set to impose further sanctions on Russia amid reports Germany is struggling to impose existing sanctions.

Europe’s move to further penalise the Kremlin amid revelations of massacres and rapes by Russian troops in now-liberated Ukrainian towns. 

As Russian troops divert their attention to areas in the east and south of Ukraine, home troops have liberated and reclaimed a number of towns around Kyiv.
