NEWS: Crypto firms not complying with AML requirements, warns one of Europe’s Central Banks

The Central Bank of Ireland has yet to register any cryptocurrency exchanges almost a year after the EU anti-money laundering and financial terrorism directive requiring them to do so came into force. 

The supervisor said it was engaging with a “significant” number of firms about applications for registration and their anti-money laundering frameworks and it has “prioritised” the assessment of applications.
