US President Joe Biden reveals Executive Order on Digital Assets; Treasury Secretary Yellen says plan will address risks related to illicit finance and will prevent ‘threats to the financial system’

US President Joe Biden today unveiled his hotly anticipated Executive Order on Digital Assets promising to ‘reduce the risks’ they pose on consumers, investors and businesses. 

President Biden said the US “must take strong steps to reduce the risks that digital assets could pose to consumers, investors and business protections”, as well as promoting financial stability and financial system integrity.
