The UK will impose sanctions on a further 370 Russian individuals including more than 50 Oligarchs and their families, as part of the country’s latest sanctions package.
Those sanctioned today have a combined net worth of £100BN, with many enjoying close relationships with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Christopher Reese Convicted Of Fraud And Unauthorized Practice Of Law

Matthew Podolsky, the Acting United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, announced that a jury convicted CHRISTOPHER REESE, a/k/a “Christopher Eugene Thomas,” yesterday for his participation in a scheme to defraud criminal defendants and their family members out of hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees paid to REESE, who is not a lawyer, to perform unlicensed legal services in federal court. REESE, who is already in federal custody in connection with a separate case, will be sentenced on June 26, 2025, by U.S. District Judge Valerie E. Caproni.
Albania – Publication of the Fifth Round Second Compliance Report

GRECO has made public today its Fifth Round Second Compliance Report on Albania, which deals with preventing corruption and promoting integrity in central governments (top executive functions) and law enforcement agencies. This report was adopted by GRECO at its 99th Plenary Meeting (Strasbourg, 17-19 March 2025). This Second Compliance Report assesses the measures taken by the authorities of Albania to implement the recommendations issued in the Fifth Round Evaluation Report which was adopted at GRECO’s 86th Plenary Meeting (29 October 2020) and made public on 3 December 2020, following authorisation by the authorities of Albania. The corresponding Compliance Report was adopted at GRECO’s 92nd Plenary Meeting (2 December 2022) and made public on 3 March 2023, following authorisation by the authorities of Albania.
