NEWS: UK’s FinCrime authorities ‘overstretched’ and outgunned’ and ‘widely perceived to be losing the fight against economic crime,’ claims report

A British anti-corruption charity has branded the UK’s financial crime authorities as “overstretched and outgunned” by criminals. 

In its latest report, Spotlight on Corruption, revealed the UK government spends £852M per year on fighting financial crime. The spend pales in comparison to the estimated £100BN in proceeds from money laundering which flows through the UK each year.
