Swiss banker and accomplice expected to face money laundering charges in Switzerland and Liechtenstein as major fraud trial gets underway in Zurich

By Elizabeth Hearst for AMLi

As one of the biggest fraud trials in Switzerland gets underway this week, it’s expected prosecutors in Switzerland and Liechtenstein will bring money laundering charges against former Raiffeisen CEO, Pierin Vincenz and Beat Stocker, CEO of Aduno.

Both Vincenz and Stocker are this week facing one of Switzerland’s biggest fraud trials following allegations of fraud, embezzlement and bribery. The pair are accused of “secretly accumulating stakes in companies” due to be taken over by Swiss bank Raiffeisen and digital payments subsidiary Aduno.
