FinCEN seeks public comment on Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) sharing pilot programme to tackle money laundering

The United States Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) has today issued a notice calling for public comment on a new Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) sharing pilot programme to tackle dirty money. 

The pilot programme would “permit a financial institution with a SAR obligation to share SARs and information related to SARs with the institution’s foreign branches, subsidiaries and affiliates”, according to FinCEN.
