Biden’s pick for Federal Reserve post to face scrutiny over climate change activism; one Republican senator says he has ‘serious concerns’ about her nomination

US President Joe Biden’s nomination for Vice-Chair of Supervision at the Federal Reserve is expected to face increased scrutiny at her Senate nomination hearings over beliefs the banking system should incorporate climate change risks. 

Sarah Bloom Raskin, former deputy secretary of the US Department of Treasury and former Governor of the Federal Reserve, was announced last Friday as President Biden’s pick.
