NZ regulator warns VASPs and derivatives issuers continue to post highest AML risk

The New Zealand regulator has pinpointed two areas of business that are highly vulnerable to money laundering and terror financing threats, it has emerged this week.

The latest AML/CFT risk ratings from the Financial markets Authority has put the spotlight on virtual asset service providers (VASPs) and the highly complex derivatives market – in particular the people who issue them.
