LATEST: European Banking Authority’s new guidelines say supervisors should consult with FIUs on the quality and quantity of SARs filed

The European Banking Authority has published its final guidelines on AML/CFT information exchange, setting out recommendations on how prudential supervisors, AML/CFT supervisors and FIUs should “co-operate and exchange information in relation to AML/CFT”.

The guidelines lay bare the EBA’s position on information sharing between financial institutions and FIUs, both at Member States and across the EU’s Single Market.
