Weak AML laws in Australia ‘locking citizens out of their own home’, Transparency International tells Senate hearing

Money launderers have such a tight grip on Australia that they are now starting to lock ordinary citizens out of the national property market, lawmakers have been told.

A senate hearing this week has heard that Australia’s reputation as a laundering haven is not too dissimilar from its reputation as a tourism hotspot, and the people are suffering for it.
