CRYPTO: Israel sets higher standards for virtual asset service providers with new order to take effect immediately

Israel has brought in new laws clamping down on digital currencies in the hope that they will reduce the risk of laundering through those channels.

Announced Sunday evening by the National Money Laundering and Terror Financing Prohibition Authority (IMPA), the order is a broad update to rule governing service providers in financial assets.
