FATF recognises improved AML defences in China with publication of latest follow-up report; verdicts on Canada and Finland also released this week

China’s AML defences have seen a fresh round of improvements, but gaps still remain, the Financial Action Task Force has revealed.

The latest enhanced follow-up report for the PRC has seen compliance rating advances in several areas, particularly internal controls and legal frameworks for handling dirty assets.
