Chinese national reports earning $40k per year but manages to own millions in Vancouver real-estate – BC money laundering Commission

The incredible disparity between a $40k annual income and $32M in property assets is what led one Chinese national to fall foul of Canadian AML authorities, it has emerged.

A case study by an AML commission in British Columbia had shown that the unnamed individual reported earnings of C$40,615 to border agents yet managed to afford multiple luxury homes in the Vancouver area.
