Scottish judge gives green light to judicial review into decision not to investigate Trump’s finances

By Elizabeth Hearst for AMLi

Scotland’s Court of Session has given the green light into a judicial review of minister’s decision not to investigate Trump’s Scottish organisation.

Earlier this year, Scottish MP’s chose not to investigate the former US President over his multi-million pound purchases of two Scottish golf courses.

Yesterday’s judgement may turn this decision on its head, following Lord Sandison’s ruling that the petition could “proceed without condition or restriction”.
