Canada’s opposition plans stricter beneficial ownership rules as part of bid to win back power from Justin Trudeau

The main opposition party in Canada has promised to toughen up on money laundering through real estate if it wins back power.

The Conservative Party – currently led by Erin O’Toole – has said it will bring changes to Canada’s current anti-money laundering legislation, making it harder for criminals to launder dirty money through property markets, as well as giving more powers to authorities.
