LAWYERS: AML controls are seen as time-consuming hurdles by legal professionals, suggests new survey

The old mantra of “time is money,” is the biggest obstacle preventing professionals from pursuing AML responsibilities, new data has suggested.

A recent survey of over 300 compliance professionals in the United Kingdom law sector has revealed that the “time taken to collate relevant information,” was the leading problem with anti-money laundering responsibilities.
