Japan’s financial regulator and Bank of Japan to launch investigation into regional firm’s AML practices

Officials from Japan’s Financial Services Agency (FSA) and the Bank of Japan (BOJ) are expected to investigate whether regional financial institutions have adequate anti-money laundering frameworks.

The Japanese financial regulator (FSA) and the country’s central bank (BOJ) look set to launch an investigation into the country’s regional financial institutions and their anti-money laundering practices.
