Data needs to be shared to fight against money laundering, but data needs to stay private as part of fundamental European rights.

The debate over how this “trade-off” is managed needs to happen soon, in the open, with the maximum number of stakeholders, so that firm decisions can be made – according to the chief of Denmark’s financial watchdog Jesper Berg.
