THE UNITED STATES has been the driving force of financial penalties against institutions in the first quarter of this year, according to the latest data available to AMLintelligence Regwatch.

US government agencies have not only issued multiple fines to American companies, but to foreign ones as well, vastly outperforming the records of other major jurisdictions between January and March 2021.
