EBA emphasises ‘consistency’ across the EU when it comes to authorising credit institutions; seeks feedback on draft assessment guidelines

The European Banking Authority is seeking feedback on new set of draft guidelines for how to assess credit institutions.

As the move towards a more harmonised supervisory approach to banking ramps up across the EU, the EBA has taken the next step in ensuring that all credit institutions seeking permission to operate within the bloc are tested in the same way.
