British payments company MT Global handed record £24M fine for AML breaches; other licences suspended and cancelled

A global money transfer company has been a fine of almost £24 million by the UK’s Revenue and Customs office (HMRC).

The penalty – handed down for various AML offences – has been described as the largest ever issued by HMRC in sixteen years of operations.
