NEWS: BaFin fines abcfinance €90,000 for suspicious transaction reporting breach

By CARLO BOFFA, EU Correspondent Germany’s financial regulator fined equipment financier abcfinance €90,000 for breaching reporting requirements. BaFin said on Thursday the company filed several suspicious transaction reports (STRs) late in April 2025.  German law sets no deadline for filing STRs but requires companies to report suspicions “without undue delay”, regardless of the transaction’s value. …
