NEWS: Data from ID verification firm used by banks used in dark web sale of 153m driver’s license scans

IDScan.net, an identity-verification firm, has been linked to a dark web sale of more than 153 million US and Canadian driver’s license scans.

Cybersecurity journalist Brian Krebs traced the data to IDScan.net, a Louisiana-based identity-verification company. Researchers matched timestamps on leaked scans with identity checks carried out through the company’s technology.
