NEWS: US imposter scam losses surged to $3.5bn in 2025

AMERICANS reported losing a record $3.5 billion to imposter scams in 2025, according to the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

Criminals posed as banks, government agencies and other trusted organisations to steal money and personal information.
