THE Swiss Finance Ministry has appealed a court decision to scrap a 100,000 Swiss franc ($127,000) fine imposed on former Credit Suisse executive Lara Warner for failing to report money laundering in a fraud linked to the collapse of the Mozambique economy.
The federal criminal court last week overturned the ministry’s 2025 decision to fine Warner, a former chief compliance officer at the collapsed bank which was taken over by UBS in 2023, saying the case had exceeded the statute of limitations.
