NEWS: SEC enforcement actions fall to 16-year low in first half of 2026

SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) enforcement actions against public companies and subsidiaries have fallen to a 16-year low in the first half of a fiscal year, according to new figures.

The SEC recorded five enforcement actions against public companies in the first half of fiscal year 2026, according to Cornerstone Research. This was up slightly from three actions in the second half of fiscal year 2025.
