BANKING giant Standard Chartered will cut more than 7,800 jobs by 2030 as it expands the use of AI across its operations.

The UK-headquartered lender said the reductions will affect more than 15% of its back-office roles. It expects automation and AI to handle a growing share of tasks currently carried out by staff.
