OFAC (the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control) has issued a hefty penalty for $275 million against an Indian-based company, Adani Enterprise Limited.

This penalty was strictly for violations of the Iran sanctions restrictions. This single penalty was more than all the penalties in 2025 ($265 millon total) and also more than 5x times all the penalties in 2024.
