NEWS: South Korea fines crypto exchange Coinone $3.5m over AML violations

SOUTH Korea’s FIU (Financial Intelligence Unit) has fined crypto exchange Coinone 5.2 billion won ($3.5 million) and imposed a three-month partial business suspension, after identifying multiple AML failures.

The Financial Services Commission said that Coinone failed to properly verify around 70,000 customer accounts.
