LATEST: Cayman Islands defies UK on public access to beneficial ownership register

THE Cayman Islands will keep its beneficial ownership register limited to users with a ‘legitimate interest’, in defiance of the UK.

Lawmakers in the British Overseas Territory have passed a government motion updating the fees charged to those seeking access to the register.
