LATEST: New MONEYVAL report outlines typologies for conflict-related money laundering

A new MONEYVAL typologies report has warned that armed conflicts are increasingly fuelling complex criminal economies that generate and launder illicit funds.

The study examines money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation financing risks linked to proceeds from conflicts. It also identifies patterns and vulnerabilities that allow these funds to enter the financial system.
