THE Certificate in Financial Crime Compliance (CFCC) for professionals in AML and AFC in banking, fintech, VASPS, regulators and law enforcement will be officially launched next month.
The course from AML Intelligence Business School is set to disrupt the AFC professional education and training world, delivering a 12-week online certification to better equip financial services teams to detect and fight financial crime.
The courses have been specifically designed to teach FCC professionals how to best deal with real-world financial crime threats.
“Most legacy programmes are exam-centric, with recall tested more than practice. CFCC flips the ratio to scenario labs, artefacts, and defended decisions – closer to what regulators and Wolfsberg now consider effective,” AML Intelligence said in a statement.
“Our aim is to help industry and regulators deliver more efficient and effective FCC and in modules that suit the student,” AMLi added.
The CFCC is fully online and recorded. Attendees can complete it in their own time. The course is delivered over six ‘blocks’. Each ‘block’ contains four on-demand chapters, taking approximately 20–30 minutes each. Some of the top leaders in this sector are joining as lecturers.
The course goes live in the coming weeks. Ahead of its official launch, AML Intelligence is hosting a series of ‘Open Day/Evening’ information sessions. Attendees can meet with lecturers to find out more details on the CFCC.

Who the CFCC is for:
- Regulated entities (banks, VASPs, payments, fintech, insurers). The CFCC demonstrates upskilling, and provides evidence of capability for boards, auditors, and supervisors.
- Leaders in analytics & modelling (e.g., Managing Director, Global Risk Analytics & Financial Crime Modelling)
- Individual practitioners in AML/CTF, sanctions and fraud
What you will learn across the six ‘blocks’:
- 1) Global AML/CTF standards & supervisory models – This will include how industry standards (from bodies such as Wolfsberg, Basel, Egmont) translate into policy.
- 2) Criminal typologies & threats – With emphasis on fraud, human trafficking & modern slavery.
- 3) Monitoring for Suspicious Activity beyond rules – This will teach attendees how to set and explain thresholds, SAR usefulness and effectiveness metrics.
- 4) Technology, innovation & crypto compliance – Implementing VASP controls which satisfies regulators.
- 5) Investigations, reporting & the FIU/LE interface – This will cover and highquality SAR narratives that help FIUs and LE (law enforcement).
- 6) Governance, culture & accountability – Topics will include ethical AI and bias testing; accountability regimes and board reporting.
FATF and national regulators expect demonstrable effectiveness in outcomes, not just policies.
Your teams need skills, tools, and evidence that stand up to model risk, FIU, and supervisory scrutiny. And that’s exactly what the CFCC operationalises.
