NEWS: 1,200 arrested and $97M seized in massive INTERPOL Africa anti-fraud crackdown

AUTHORITIES across Africa have arrested more than 1,200 people and seized $97.4 million in an Interpol-led operation targeting cybercrime.

Interpol said the crackdown, known as Operation Serengeti 2.0, ran from June to August 2025 and focused on ransomware, online scams and business email compromise.
