NEWS: Customs and VAT fraud causes €45bn of ‘damage’ to EU, officials say

CUSTOMS and VAT fraud caused an estimated €45 billion in losses to EU and national budgets in 2025, according to the EPPO (European Public Prosecutor’s Office).

In its new annual report, the body warned that revenue fraud has become a major organised criminal industry.
