NEWS: Belgian banks warn ‘name and shame’ policy could ‘stigmatize’ firms

BELGIAN banks have warned that plans to more often ‘name and shame’ firms that breach AML rules could damage confidence in the sector.

The proposal comes from the National Bank of Belgium, which is considering a stronger approach to enforcement.
