LATEST: Enforcement against unlicensed crypto firms is ‘weak’, warns MONEYVAL

MONEYVAL, the Council of Europe’s AML body, has warned that enforcement action against unlicensed crypto firms remains weak across much of Europe, despite broader progress in regulation and supervision.

In a new report, MONEYVAL said: “Overall, there has been significant progress in developing regulatory and supervisory frameworks for virtual assets and virtual asset service providers.
