SHARES in Swedbank rose sharply on Thursday after the U.S. DOJ (Department of Justice) ended its investigation into money laundering in the Baltics without issuing a fine, removing the biggest legal threat the bank had ‌faced in years.

The company’s stock rose 5% at the opening on Thursday after the Swedish lender said in a statement on Wednesday that it had been informed that the investigation had ended.
