NEWS: SEC enforcement actions plunge under Trump administration

ENFORCEMENT actions at the U.S. SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) have dropped sharply under Donald Trump’s administration, according to a new report.

The study from Paul, Weiss found that new enforcement actions fell to 313 during the organization’s 2025 financial year. This was “the lowest in a decade”, and down 27% compared to 2024.
