BANK of America has launched recruitment for its new Belfast office in Northern Ireland, where it expects to eventually have as many as 1,000 workers.
The division is expected to have a key focus on AML, compliance and anti-financial crime.
Several recruiters from Bank of America announced that the company is now looking for staff.
“The start of 2026 signals the start of an exciting new project. We kick off recruitment for the brand new Bank of America Belfast office,” said Hannah Scullion, VP of Talent Acquisition.
Many of the new roles advertised are in the company’s ‘Global Financial Crimes’ and ‘AML Operations’ divisions.

In September, Bank of America announced that it would open a ‘key hub’ in Belfast.
A Bank of America spokesperson said at the time that there will be a “gradual build up” of its new operation. The company did not give a hiring timeline.
Brian Moynihan, Bank of America’s Chief Executive, said he was “pleased” for the company to extend its investment in the UK. He added that the new Belfast operations facility will “support our global business”.
“The early US-UK trade agreement provided the business community with the certainty. And the framework it needs to strengthen transatlantic commerce,” he added in a statement.
