IRELAND’S Minister for Finance Simon Harris is to officially open ‘European Anti-Financial Crime Summit 2026’ (EAFCS2026) in Dublin on April 29, it’s been announced.
Mr Harris is Ireland’s Deputy PM (Tánaiste), a member of the Eurogroup of Finance Ministers and a key figure leading Ireland’s Presidency of the EU Council this year.
The Tánaiste will deliver the Official Opening Address to AFC, AML, FCC and Anti-Fraud leaders from the EU and UK’s financial services sectors.
His comments on AFC and FSI priorities in the EU during the European Council Presidency, which begins in June, will be much watched.
Early Bird tickets for the conference are now available [HERE].
Also among the 60 industry leading speakers will be AMLA Chair Bruna Szego and Rabobank COO Phillips Vollot.
Unlike other conferences in the sector which attract juniors seeking CPD credits, EAFCS is designed for decision-makers seeking insights, identifying trends and building networks.
Last week, three senior speakers were confirmed for the event:
- Elżbieta Franków- Jaśkiewicz – Chair at the Egmont Group and former Chair of MONEYVAL
- Eamon Howard – Group Head of Financial Crime Compliance at Revolut
- Dr. Kari Johnstone – OSCE Special Representative and Co-ordinator for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings
More international leaders from banking, fintech, insurance, crypto, regulation and supervision will be announced over the coming weeks.
EAFCS 2026 will be the biggest edition of the conference yet, with almost 1,000 C-suite executives, policymakers and top regulators set to attend.
The AFCS series in Dublin and London, organized by AML Intelligence, are a key platform for industry leaders to discuss the most pressing issues in anti-financial crime.
