LATEST: FinCEN warns of ransomware surge, victims paid out $2.1bn

RANSOMWARE incidents in the U.S. are spiking, with $2.1 billion in payments recorded between 2022 and 2024, according to FinCEN.

The organization, the AML unit of the U.S. Treasury, has warned that incidents are surging.
