NEWS: Calls to hold Big Tech accountable for social media scams

ANALYSTS have called for Big Tech companies to be held financially responsible for the enormous numbers of scams originating from social media.

Martin Wolf, chief economics commentator at the Financial Times, singled out Meta. The company recently admitted that approximately 10% of its revenue – some $16 billion per year – comes from running ads for scams and banned goods.
