LATEST: UK finance firms propose giving MLRO role ‘more authority’

THE JMLSG (Joint Money Laundering Steering Group) has proposed upgrading the role of MLRO (Money Laundering Reporting Officer) with increased authority and access to information.

In a new consultation, the organization also said that MLROs should take “ultimate managerial responsibility” for AML oversight activities.
