INSIGHT: Canada fines five real estate firms for AML failings – what businesses can learn

FINTRAC, Canada’s FIU, has published five different monetary penalties today against various real estate firms.

These 5 combined penalties, while the total amount is >CAD$500,000 ($355,000) have some interesting lessons learned for the host of real estate firms (title cos, brokerages, real estate reps, and so on) in Canada.
