NEWS: US banks protest stablecoin ‘loophole’ for crypto exchanges

U.S. banks are pressing lawmakers to change new stablecoin rules amid concerns that regulations will give crypto exchanges a major advantage.

The American Bankers Association, Bank Policy Institute and Consumer Bankers Association told Congress last week that the rules contain a “loophole” in the The Genius Act. The law regulates the U.S. stablecoin market.
