One of the UK’s leading AML firms has announced the appointment of a new vice-president (VP) of enterprise sales.
SmartSearch, has revealed Zowie Lees-Howell would take up the new role as VP following her role as Sales Director at Equifax.
In a statement, SmartSearch said Ms Lees-Howell “is a well-respected name within regtech, fintech and financial services, with more than 25 years of experience with global, publicly trading data and analytics firms.”
SmartSearch provides AML software to the United Kingdom’s (UK) top 200 law firms and 30% of the top-tier 100 accountancy firms.
The West Yorkshire based company stated Ms Lees-Howell will head up the enterprise sales team and added she be responsible for the firm’s “continued expansion into markets such as banking, financial services, crypto, utilities and telco.”
Ms Lees-Howell commented : “I look forward to working with the SmartSearch team to further penetrate these emerging markets by providing highly valuable services to companies who may not have had access to them before.”
Managing director of SmartSearch, Martin Cheek said: “Not only has our product offering constantly evolved to meet the growing compliancy burden, but we’ve continued to strengthen, both by harnessing the potential of our talented team and by making key strategic appointments.”
