About Office of Chief Officer Supervision

The Office of the Chief Officer Supervision assists the Chief Officer Supervision in the management of the Supervisory Directorate which houses the Banking, Insurance and Pensions, Securities and Markets, Conduct, Financial Crime Compliance, Virtual Financial Assets, Supervisory ICT Risk and Cybersecurity and the Supervisory Quality Assurance Functions.

The Role

As Senior Analyst (Supervisory Coordination) you will be reporting to the Supervisory Coordination Management Team within Office of the Chief Officer Supervision and responsible for the following main duties:

  • Recording internal committee meeting discussions;
  • Preparing working papers, reports and presentations for internal and external consumption;
  • Assisting in the coordination of the work programme of the Supervisory Directorate;
  • Following up with different functions on action points and deliverables;
  • Supporting the Supervisory Coordination Management Team within the OCOS and shadowing this work;
  • Representing the MFSA in EU and international fora and engaging with other competent authorities as necessary; and
  • Handling any other duties as assigned by line management and the Chief Officer Supervision, and/or as may be required by the MFSA from time to time, as required by the exigencies of the Authority.

About You

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates looking to apply their solid academic background in Law, Accountancy, Finance, Business or in any other related qualification which may be considered as relevant to this post. Candidates are expected to have a sound knowledge of the financial services legislation landscape, experience in managing workstreams or projects, the ability to manage competing priorities and a challenging workload.

You are also expected to be a confident individual who is flexible and dynamic, and have a critical and analytical mindset. Excellent written and spoken communication as well as presentation skills are a must.

You also need an academic qualification in a relevant field of study at National Qualification Framework Level 6 or better, duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) or a widely recognised professional qualification at a comparable level.

You will also possess a minimum of five (5) years working experience in financial services. Candidates with longer working experience relevant to the role will be preferred.

If you do not have the necessary academic or professional qualifications but you have at least ten (10) years of relevant experience, we would still be interested in speaking with you.
